The Ventura County Preparedness Office is an award winning agency responsible for: 

Providing essential updates and information through the Public Health Facebook page and Twitter account. For email updates, you can subscribe by emailing VCPH.Updates@ventura.org with “Subscribe” in the subject line. 

In addition, they conduct surveys to gauge the community’s preparedness for various emergencies, including terrorism planning, publishing articles and video content related to emergency preparedness, featuring comments from experts, FEMA deputy administrator, and offer resources and information to help individuals and communities prepare for emergencies. 

They also support the Health Care Agency’s disaster operations and collaborate with organizations seeking to enhance their preparedness for health-related disasters. 

To hear emergency alerts, tune into the following radio stations KVTA 1590 AM, KHAY 100.7 FM, and KMLA 103.7 FM (in Spanish).
