Mountain Fire Health-Related Information

Fees for certified copies of birth, death, marriage, and dissolution of marriage records are waived for any individual who lost such records as a result of the Mountain Fire.

If your record is for the years 2024 and 2025, you can obtain a replacement at the Office of Vital Records located at 2240 E. Gonzales Rd., Suite 150, Oxnard, CA 93036. For any other years, you can obtain your replacement at the Ventura County Clerk and Recorder’s office at 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura, CA 93009.

The Office of Vital Records in Oxnard only has records for 2024-2025 for current births, deaths, and fetal deaths that occurred in Ventura County. However, we can issue certificates of stillbirth from 2003 to the present.

For Birth, Death, Fetal Death, and Marriage certificates for any other year, including 2024 and 2025, you can visit the Ventura County Clerk-Recorder Office. The Office of Vital Records in Oxnard does NOT provide marriage certificates. 

Services are available in person, by mail, or online.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., closed daily between 12:00 – 12:45 p.m.
