The Tuberculosis (TB) Specialty Clinic has been a leader in diagnosing, treating, and preventing the spread of TB in Ventura County. The clinic is committed to providing uninterrupted, gold-standard care while working closely with community doctors to support patient treatment.
We collaborate with the medical community to identify TB suspects, foster adherence to treatment regimens, prevent acquired drug resistance, shorten the period of communicability, and reduce TB transmission in Ventura County. Through expert guidance and comprehensive care, we help ensure better health outcomes for both individual patients and the broader community.

California TB Screening Law (AB 2132)
Assembly Bill 2132: Signed into law by Governor Gavin Newson on September 29, 2024, Assembly Bill 2132 requires adult patients receiving primary care services to be offered a Tuberculosis (TB) test if risk factors are identified, followed by provision or referral for appropriate follow-up care. - CDPH Letter to the California Board of Registered Nursing: The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued a letter to the California Board of Registered Nursing to inform healthcare providers about AB2132, which encourages TB screening for all Californians aged 18 and older in primary care settings. This letter, sent to all registered nurses in California on January 15, 2025, also highlights additional training opportunities for the prevention of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI).
