Ventura County Public Health recommends that everyone ages 6 months and older stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, aligning with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations. 

Healthcare providers are the first place to go for COVID-19 and flu healthcare.

Who is Eligible for a COVID-19 Vaccine?

Who Should Get Vaccinated?

The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older stay up to date on COVID-19 vaccine. Those who are at highest risk of severe consequences of COVID-19 and should prioritize getting vaccinated include:

  • Older adults 65+
  • People who are pregnant or recently pregnant
  • People who are immunocompromised
  • People with certain medical conditions such as a chronic disease or cancer
  • People with disabilities
