Tobacco Education and Prevention Coalition
How to Get Involved
The Ventura County Tobacco Education and Prevention Coalition comprises community members working on tobacco education, prevention, and advocacy projects in Ventura County.
The coalition meets every other month (except during the summer). These meetings provide tobacco advocates and educators with resources, peer support, skill-building, and updates on local, state, national, and international tobacco issues.
Coalition task forces work on the following issues:
- Smokefree Housing – Smoking in Apartments and Condominiums
- Smokefree College Campuses
- Outdoor Smoking and Tobacco Litter in Public Places
- Illegal Tobacco Sales and Sales to Minors
Concerned community members are invited to participate in all aspects of the Coalition. If you're interested, please contact the
Ventura County Tobacco Education and Prevention Program by phone at 805-652-3311 or email
Kathryn Cook.
