Coronavirus (COVID-19) Health Care Agency Information

For general questions about COVID-19 visit www.vcemergency.com or join the County of Ventura on Facebook. You may also call 2-1-1. If you have questions about your symptoms or possible exposure to the virus, your primary care provider is the best person to help you. Please call your primary care clinic, unless you are experiencing life-threatening symptoms such as difficulty breathing.

If you do not have a primary care provider, call the clinic or provider listed on your medical card if you have insurance. If you do not have insurance, click here to search for a clinic near you.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Public Information Officer

The Ventura County Health Care Agency understands our responsibility to keep the public and the media informed about matters of public interest and public health. We are dedicated to sharing important information, and do so without compromising our patients’ right to privacy.

We continually work to further public awareness about our hospitals, clinics, services and programs through press releases, media interviews, online communications and social media.

All media inquiries can be made to the Public Information Office, weekdays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Members of the media must be accompanied by a hospital representative when on hospital or clinic premises.

Release of Patient Information

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) became effective April 14, 2003, and mandates how healthcare providers may release information. If you are a member of the media and expect to work with the staff at any of our facilities, please contact the Public Information Office.
