The first thing to understand about suicide is it is not necessary, a person's emotional pain is not always obvious - even to themselves, and it is preventable. Here are some resources to get help.

Partnership Between the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and Facebook

Report Suicidal Content posted by a friend to Facebook. The person who posted the suicidal comment will receive an e-mail from Facebook encouraging them to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or to click on a link to begin a confidential chat session with a crisis worker.
