Alcohol and Drug Programs






    


   

Ventura County Alcohol & Drug Programs offer a range of outpatient treatment services designed to help individuals coping with a substance use disorder. Our services include screening, crisis intervention, individual, group and family counseling, HIV education, assessment and evaluation, referrals to community based services, and outreach to the community. 

     

Our Youth Services and Adult Services programs serve the entire county, with clinics located in Oxnard, Ventura, Fillmore and Simi Valley. Specialized programs provide services for pregnant and parenting women, adolescents, and persons who have been dually diagnosed with substance use and mental health problems. Fees are based on an ability to pay.

DUI Programs






     


   

The Ventura County DUI Program offers a First Offender DUI Program and a Multiple Offender DUI Program for individuals convicted of driving under the influence. The program consists of education sessions, and group and individual counseling. Programs are offered in Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Oxnard, Ventura and Fillmore, CA.

Mental Health - Adult Services

     

  

     


   


    

Ventura County Behavioral Health provides outpatient mental health services to adults, 18 to 65, at five clinics located throughout the County.

  

Each clinic is composed of a multidisciplinary staff that provide a wide array of services designed to treat severe symptoms of mental illness and assist individuals and their families in living successfully in the community. Each clinic provides psychiatric assessment, medication services, psychological testing, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, rehabilitation services, and case management services.

 

In addition, the outpatient programs assist individuals in obtaining employment, accessing medical care, and accessing treatment for addictions, accessing socialization, and accessing available safe and secure housing.

Mental Health - Youth & Family Services






      


      

Youth and Family services provide integrated mental health services by working with the Community and with other agencies such as Special Education, Human Services Agency/Children Family Services, Juvenile Justice system and Children's Medical Services. Comprehensive services include: psychiatric assessment and treatment, case management, outpatient individual and group therapy, psychological testing, school based services, home based services, acute care of crisis and hospitalization. All of the programs strive to insure continuity of appropriate care in the least restrictive environment and prevent out of home placement
